Troubleshooting
Contact Us
For any information about ordering items, please contact the proper retailer directly.
To report new technical issues: Technical Support Form Your personal profile is made up of your model questionnaire and user ID info. Select My Model then edit your answers to the questionnaire. Click Save to continue with saving your profile or Shop Now to skip this step. You may later save, edit or delete your profile in My User ID.

Models may or may not look like you at first glance. If you cannot achieve true-to-life resemblance, try to visualize someone like you at a distance and you will still benefit from virtual modelling.

To set your current model as your avatar picture for the Community, open the Shop for Looks tab then My Model. Edit your model as needed then click Set my model.

NOTE: Male models are not currently available for the Community but you can create and use them with our BrandMe product line found at http://corpo.mvm.com/en/brandme.php

SHOP BY STYLES OR OCCASIONS
To try on styles, open the Shop for Looks tab then Visual Search. Select either Styles or Occasions. Select a clothing category then click any style image to try on this style on your model. Use the color selector to change this style's color.

Trying on a style also triggers a search for all similar items matching your query. Results may include 3D tryable items from participating retailers or non-tryable items found at Shopping.com. Both item types can be dragged on the canvas right next to your model to help you to complete your look.

Trying on a new 3D pair of pants on your model will replace any bottom item found there. To retrieve removed items, browse the Recently tried-on list located at the bottom of the canvas area. Drag an item out of the list to put it back on the canvas or on your model.

To get more info about products or purchase from a retailer, click product thumbnails in the Result panels or on the canvas. Click Info/Buy in the Product Info menu.
DRAG ITEMS TO CREATE OUTFITS
Use the area at the right of the screen to drag product thumbnails next to your model. Tryable and non-tryable items can be mixed and matched by simply moving them around with your mouse.
ADD YOUR OWN LOOKS TO THE GALLERY
The Looks Gallery is a great place to start looking for styles and ideas from other people. But how does it work? As you are adding your own looks to the Gallery, the MVM Community can only get more and more useful to each other members. So, contribute some of your looks as soon as you can and as often as you like. You may create looks that you own already or wish to wear someday, so someone with your fashion sense can find them.

To add a look to the Gallery, open Shop for Looks, create a look for your model then click Publish this look.

PRINT
Open the My Items tab to print out your model and a list of what you're wearing. To save your model, select My Model >> My User ID then create a new username. Please remember that your MVM username is not the same as any one you may already have with a retailer. You may delete your MVM User ID at any time.

In order to benefit from a personalized experience, your browser must be set to accept Javascript and cookies. Make sure that Privacy and Security settings are set to Medium.

BROWSERS ADD-ONS
Some browser add-ons or plug-ins may interfere unexpectedly with our services. These may include pop-up blockers, cookie managers, download managers, as well as firewalls, proxies, etc. We cannot test for any specific software that you may have installed on your computer. If you have trouble using our services, try disabling add-ons to see if the problem persists, then re-enable them one by one at your convenience.

INTERNET CONNECTION SPEED
My Virtual Model™ may download more slowly on dial-up connections. To avoid interrupting the intended page processing, make sure that each page has been fully downloaded before clicking any link or button. In case a page is not working properly, press Stop or the Escape key, then Refresh or F5.
Useful Tips
EMPTY YOUR BROWSER CACHE
When starting a new browser session, make sure to delete the Internet Temporary Files stored in your browser cache. This will ensure that you are coming back to the site as a fresh new user.

DO NOT INTERRUPT PAGE DOWNLOADS
While using our services, make sure that each page downloads completely before clicking any features. Avoid using the Back button or clicking repeatedly to produce an action.

If your browser seems to freeze, lock, or you are just waiting too long, use the Escape key or the Stop button to cancel the current action, then press Refresh or F5 to reload the current page. Most of the times, your browser will get a newer connection to our servers and your session will resume without further problems.

The followings are the most frequently reported issues and fixes.
To report new issues, please use our Technical Support Form.

Cannot Save User Profile
Cannot Sign In
Cannot Start Session

USERNAME ALREADY EXISTS
If someone else has already taken your preferred username, try creating a new username by appending some digits to it. Do not assume that strange or unique usernames must be readily available. If all usernames seem to trigger this error, you may be caught in a validation loop. Restart your browser and try creating your profile again.

INVALID CHARACTERS
Try to stick to letters (a-z and A-Z) and numerals (0-9). While the "space" character is allowed in your username, password and hint answer, make sure that you do not enter extra spaces by mistake. Some keyboards can be treacherous.

Do not use the following characters in your username, password, hint answer, or e-mail address:
&      <      >      "      $      %      \      /      *      +      !      =      #      ~      ?      ^      `      (      )

MISSING ANSWERS
Make sure that all your selections are valid and that no required field is left empty. If you are still getting this error while all answers seem filled in, the page may be unable to process properly due to an internal error or a sequence of previous errors. Restart your browser and try creating your model again.

INVALID E-MAIL ADDRESS
Your e-mail address must be 40 characters or less. Check for invalid characters and make sure that your e-mail address is spelled correctly then try again. When registering, the My Virtual Model™ service performs a quick check for your mail server's availability. If the server fails to answer in the allotted amount of time, you may get this error. Try registering later when your mail server is more likely to answer quickly.
INVALID SIGN-IN
Your username and password are CasE sENsitiVE. Type them in exactly as you first registered. Refer to your My Virtual Model™ Account Activation message to retrieve your username. Click the Forgot your password? link to authenticate yourself and change your lost password to a new one.

NOT MY PROFILE
Another profile may have been created on this same computer after yours, thus overwriting the Quick Access! cookie. Click the Sign out button if it is available, then sign in to your own profile by clicking the Sign in button. Quick Access! is available for one profile at a time only.

LOST PASSWORD
Click the Forgot your password? link to identify yourself and change your old password for a new one. If you cannot complete this recovery routine, you should consider creating a new profile altogether. In this case, please provide a valid e-mail address so you can receive and keep your My Virtual Model™ Account Activation message for future reference.

NOT MY HINT QUESTION
All usernames are CasE sENsitiVE. You may be seeing someone else's hint question. Refer to your My Virtual Model™ Account Activation message to retrieve your true username.
UNSUPPORTED BROWSER
Your browser may get a warning that it is not supported by the My Virtual Model™ service. You may still try to use the application but we did not test for this specific browser version.

WINDOW SIZE
Minimal screen size is 1024 x 768.

BROWSER ADD-ONS
Some browser add-ons or plug-ins may interfere unexpectedly with our services. These may include pop-up blockers, cookie managers, download managers, as well as firewalls, proxies, etc. We cannot test for any specific software that you may have installed on your computer. If you have trouble using our services, try disabling add-ons to see if the problem persists, then re-enable them one by one at your convenience.

SESSION TIME-OUT
To keep our servers available to newcomers, each session is timed out when a user is inactive for more than 20 minutes. The user is then disconnected from our servers. If this happens, you can reconnect right away by either signing in or starting a new anonymous session. You may need to close your browser and open it again before returning to the site.

If you get this error upon entry, you may be accessing a page stored at your ISP instead of connecting directly to the application. With Microsoft Internet Explorer, set your Temporary Internet Files settings to Check for newer versions of stored pages: "Every visit to the page". Delete the remaining Internet files and restart the browser before returning to the site.

SERVER FAILURE
While we do our best to ensure that each user experiences a fault-free session, server errors may happen from time to time. If this happens, close your browser and open it again before returning to the site.
